Introducing Stephanie Kramer and Carry Strong.
We recorded Season 3 during the height of COVID and lockdowns. When we wrapped, I felt like I needed time to rethink what our next conversations would be on The 43 Percent. I, like many others, knew that the dialogue about motherhood and work had suddenly and dramatically shifted again with the rise of remote work opportunities and the normalization of children on Zoom meetings. As I was rethinking the next season, I received a note from Stephanie Kramer, because she was writing a book on pregnancy and work, and asked me to contribute a small piece. I'm a firm believer that amazing things happen when you're open to possibilities, and I couldn't have been more thrilled to get to know Stephanie. Stephanie is the author of Carry Strong, a new book that seeks to not only normalize the journey to working motherhood but to celebrate it. Stephanie is also the Chief Human Resources Officer at L’Oreal USA, an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and a mom of two young boys.
She'll be co-hosting this season with me, and in this episode, you'll get to know Stephanie as she shares her own experiences as a mom and a busy professional.
